Although I call myself a holistic psychiatrist, my heart is that of a healer. I hope that comes across in my work at NaturalMentalHealth.com (NMH) and in my books: The Chemistry of Joy, The Chemistry of Calm, and Staying Sharp. Most of my work these days centers around resilience, which I see as a key to natural mental health. I believe resilience is an innate gift—you were born with it and you still have it, no matter how you might feel right now. My work at NMH is dedicated to helping you keep that resilience, strengthen it, or restore it, depending on your need. My promise to you is to do what I believe I do best: to blend science with soul to help you sustain a healthy mind, mood, and heart.
I believe you are innately resilient. My mission is to have you believe that too. At NMH, we'll provide you with tools to help you get there and make your journey a more joyful one.
Our mission at Natural Mental Health is to make integrative mental health resources more accessible, affordable, and empowering.

"I have recommended Henry Emmons' The Chemistry of Joy to many people. In The Chemistry of Joy Workbook, he gives practical, actionable advice on boosting emotional resilience that is completely aligned with my own philosophy of integrative mental health. If you want to experience more positive moods, you will find this book most helpful. "
"The Chemistry of Joy is simply the best book I know on depression. And I do not speak lightly, having battled this disease myself. Henry Emmons is not only a skilled physician -- he has the heart of a healer. May you find, as I have, that in the midst of depression's deadly darkness, his words offer light and life. "
